Summer is here and I am adding soap to the peach passion collection. I don’t know if you remember the peach passion scrub or bath salts I made. I decided to add soap to the collection (I just love this tea so much), that way if you decided to make it as a gift you can enjoy the set. I used a little bit of pumpkin powder for color, but if you have a problem getting the soap to color then add a little dye ( food coloring is perfect).
I used lemon grass with a mixture of spearmint essential oils since summer is here and all things lemon or on the brain of many. Fun Fact: Did you know lemons are a winter fruit. I found that out when I came to AZ. The best time to get them is in the winter, but they’ve become very popular in the summer. Well I am more of a lemongrass girl!
I really loved this tea it’s better to drink but I am a huge fan of adding it to my favorite bath products. When I find another tea I love this much I will definitely let ya’ll know. This soap is perfect color and has a lot of lovely lemon and mint notes. It keeps the skin nice and smooth because of the coconut oil. Peach Passion Soap Recipe:
2 bars soap (I used Ivory)
1-2 tea bags
¼ cup coconut oil
1-2 tbsps. pumpkin powder (if not use food coloring or soap dye)
3-10 drops of lemongrass essential oils
¼ cup water
Peach Passion Soap Recipe: Cut soap into very fine pieces with a sharp knife. Mix pumpkin powder or dye, tea and coconut oil in a medium bowl and set aside. Use a double boiler or a medium glass bowl over a pot. Add water to melt soap down; once soap is melted down add oil mixture, essential oils and combine until incorporated into melted soap. Place mixture into molds and let cure for 24 hours. Once cure they are ready to use!
How much of the peach tea, and when do you add it during the process? I have been wanting to learn to make soap for a whirl now and I think this is the perfect recipie to start with, can’t wait!

you can use peach passion tea I got it at Frys which is the local grocery store here in AZ
Where did the extra coloring and texture in the bar from? Is it a mottled look because of the pumpkin powder? And it looks like there is some kind of exfoliant in it? I’m just curious because it’s the prettiest, most natural looking bar of soap I’ve ever seen. Does the smell of the peach tea stick around? I love the smell of peach but it’s impossible to use in natural cold process soaps. Have u ever tried using it in CP?
You would half to experiment in cp soaps. Everything I used in this bar of soap is listed in the ingredients. I didn’t add anything extra. Thank you so much!
