Sisany is feeling much better, the Vet told told us she had a virus and it needed time to clear up. I am happy it was nothing major and she is ok; I know when country man first brought her home I did not want her. I knew I would be the only one cleaning up after her and taking care of her accidents and mistakes. No matter how much he said that he would help me, I am the only one potty training and cleaning up after her mistakes.
It has been hectic and to top it off I always feel like bad cop! If she is being mischief I say no! She gets scared and doesn’t listen; when he says no she listens and then comes and licks him up. I get sort of jealous since I am the one feeding her and cleaning up after her, while he is gone for ten hours a day and all he does is play with her. I guess I will never understand how that works.
I have fallen in love with her, but I am going to be extra busy when spring semester hits and I will not have any time for her. I know he will be away from the house longer once school starts for him. I just don’t want to leave her in the house all alone; we are thinking about making a trip to Cali this winter and giving her as a present to his mom.
His mom had to put her dog down and she has been really upset about it, it just may be a good ideal for us to bring sisany up there and see if she would love to keep her.The last time we went to Cali we went to see his daddy and mom and made a trip to San Francisco to see his grandma; Christmas in San Francisco is amazing and I had the best time ever.
I was pretty shock he had family there since he is such a country boy, it was weird because they were totally different from him. They were not as loud, did not talk in country slang, and they loved to drink wine. They were calm about everything and were not into fishing, shooting guns, and hunting at all! My kind of people (city folk)! I had a blast!
Back in 2011 we did not go to SoCal (my neck of the woods), but I am hoping we go this year for a day or so. I can show him what a good time looks like in LA. I know we are from the same state, but SoCal and NorCal is like living in two different states.

When heat meets moisture you will find it hard to breathe and end up getting vertigo, it is the worse feeling everything is spinning around you, even when you close your eyes! You can barely stand, if you are not careful you will end up falling or tripping over something.
I have had it once last year (lasted a week), and this will be my second time it came out of nowhere. I am happy I was already home because I was able to stay in bed the majority of the day. The moisture was out of control yesterday but my vertigo has subsided just a bit and I am making today a rest day.
I like to freeze my own berries they can me so much cheaper then buying frozen berries. The heat will not quit and I have been looking forward to making more frozen drinks. They can be so difficult to photograph because they melt quickly. I had that problem when I was photographing this slushy. By the time I was done it had melted and was more like a thick glob of fruit that had been blended together; it was still yummy just not frozen like a slushie should be. When you make this slushie do not wait as long as I did to slurp it especially on a hot day.
The combination of tart and sweet are yummy for this slushie and you will become hooked so pucker up and enjoy the summer flavors.
Strawberry Blueberry Lemonade Slushie Recipe:
Recipe Instructions:
Recipe Notes: There are many variations to this slushie; if you like a thick and fruity slushie you do not half to add water. I added about 1/2 cup of water to my slushie so there was more liquid. If you cannot find stevia you can use honey or coconut sugar to your taste.

The weather has cool down tremulously we have been in the 90’s lately even though the humidity is still high, but hey anything is better than 108 degrees. I am going to be happy and just soak up all the cooler weather.
I know I miss baking and wanted to take advantage of the cooler temperatures. I could not decide what I wanted to bake first and where should I began. I wanted to bake a cake, some country biscuits, and then I decided on brownies. One thing led to another and I ended up making fluffy blondies.
The Blondies are not chewy or crunchy but fluffy and moist; they are made with whole wheat flour and coconut sugar. I consider these blondies more of a fluffy brownie on the lighter side.
Adapted from Blondies and Blondies
Fluffy Blondie Recipe:
Directions:
Recipe Notes:
Coconut sugar will give blondies a caramel flavor they will not be to sweet, you can do half and half to reduce the caramel flavor and give the blondies a sweeter taste. If you would like an thick and chewy blondie do not add milk.

I have been meaning to post a recipe but my little puppy has gotten sick and I am worried about her; we took her to the vet and they don’t know what is wrong with her. The only thing they have told us so far, they half to do some testing one thing leads to another and they need to run more test. I am so sick of the testing I just want to bring her home already!
I am being patient (which is something I am not good at), I have not been able to sleep all I do is toss and turn and hope she is ok. I am trying to stay positive at the moment and hope that everything will be alright and we can take her home. I know my photography and my recipes have been cold since all this stress has been put on me. I am hoping for a good outcome and will try to get in the groove of things.
