Pretty in Pink Sugar Body Scrub (Homemade)

I have been asking my sister for the past few weeks what does she want for her birthday. I keep getting the same answer, and I just keep asking her because we both know I am not getting her an Ipad. She can be such a diva.

I guess this time she is going to stand her ground because she think I will cave but when she sees her care package she will know who won this war.

This year she will half to suffer with one of my homemade gifts! I am happy that she is such a girly girl (true diva) that way I can send her care package with whistles and bows. I am sure my little diva will love this body scrub when it makes it to her…

Oatmeal Cinnamon Raisin Squares (No Bake)

Posted by on Jun 11, 2013 in Snack Recipes

Oatmeal Cinnamon Raisin Squares (No Bake)I have not made any attempt to turn on the oven this past weekend the heat is getting out of control.

I have been munching on a lot of raw snacks and no bake treats. I would love to get in the kitchen and bake but not in this heat, 75 degrees has been our “low” here in the valley of the sun with no relief in sight.

I ran out of medjool dates so I decided to do some experimenting with raisins; I would recommend medjools if you have any but if not raisins will give this treat a very tart and tangy flavor…

Just throw those raisins into the food processor

Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies

Peanut butter Oatmeal cookies

I love peanut butter cookies but I have always wanted to eat them in the morning. I  remember going to my grandma’s house and always helping her in the kitchen making peanut butter cookies.

When the next morning came while everyone was sleeping; I would sneak into the kitchen and try to get a cookie from the cookie jar. What I got was a flyswatter across my bottom and sent back to bed. I could never understand how she caught me but she did and always told me that cookies were never to be eaten before breakfast.

I now eat cookies in the morning especially if they have oats; I think oats make a great meal in the morning so I love to put them in my cookies. I now have an excuse to eat cookies in the morning; its ok to have a cookie for breakfast every now and especially if peanut butter is involved.

Special Dark Chocolate Cereal Bars

I posted this photo on foodgawker and it got accepted I am so excited!!! I have always tried to submit photos in the past and they never ever got accepted.  I nearly had a heart attack when my photo got accepted and I called everybody I could to tell them it got accepted! I work really hard on that photo so I am little overwhelmed.. I felt like I just won an Oscar and hoping for a win at the academies, or maybe it is the other way around I have know clue but I am on cloud 9.

I am revamping the blog again apparently it looks out dated; I think it looks like a version of websites that came out in the early 90’s. I am not on social media so I will be working on that. I still have no clue what I am doing but I am having fun and looking to share some great recipes.. I will defiantly be sharing my recipe on how I get a pound of vegetables in a smoothie and it still tastes like strawberries!!

Tomorrow I will be pumping iron I am moving up in weight, I am still trying to stay on my diet I normally cave in on the the weekends. I love to eat out on the weekends especially on Fridays, but I am really trying so instead of looking at the usual takeout menus. I decided that I would go ahead and make myself one of those smoothies…
