Shundara, First, don’t listen to the “Nay Sayers”! It’s great that you even share! Everyone is either complaining about the coffe used or unused! First, if you want coffe to stain everything, then by all means use fresh coffee! If you want the coffee grounds for exfoliation, then use used grounds! You are right about getting the excess liquid(water) out of your grounds! Why? That’s a no brainier! Saundra! I take my k-cups, about 20-30 empty them out on a paper towel on a baking sheet, I let the air dry the grounds, it use a plastic fork and will through out the day, tussle the grounds around with the fork, allowing the grounds underneath to also dry! OR, I will collect all the grounds that are almost dry, and lay them in a thin layer covering a cookie sheet, then I will pop them in a warmed up oven at 175-200degrees. I will then let it dry in the oven, and pull it out when completely dried. Then I can store the USED grounds in a caped jar for any further need for coffee grounds. (Note:I sometimes will lay my orange or lemon rinds sliced thin on the cookie sheet with the grounds) buy doing this process, you will save a lot of time in the future for grounds and fruit rinds! Also, a lot of money!!! So, Shundra, thanks for even giving many your precious time! And for newbies, some advice. PS: a little bit , NOT A LOT, of bees wax, will indeed help to hold it with out having to use a fridge. ?

You could plug the hole and use the cups for your mold. Thanks for sharing, I’m going to start saving mine now too.

I actually dried the used grounds in the oven…I have know clue what your talking about.. Maybe you should read through my blog, before you make assumptions about what I did!!!
